Securing America's Future Energy

Expand Production of our Domestic Resources

Safely use our domestic oil and gas resources to strengthen our economy and balance of trade. Taking advantage of our domestic supplies are a critical component of the transition to a fuel-diverse transportation sector. Simply put, the United States has pivoted from a period of potential energy scarcity to an era of domestic energy abundance. America is already the world’s largest producer of natural gas, and resource estimates continue to expand rapidly. The United States’ petroleum production surge has occurred almost entirely on private and state lands, with little to no new development in regions administered by the federal government. Providing access to these federal lands, with responsible and effective oversight, would complement the benefits of domestic energy production while simultaneously presenting an opportunity to use a percentage of federal revenues from new energy production to accelerate the advancement of oil displacement technologies while safeguarding the environment.
