John Hannah is currently a senior fellow at The Foundation for Defense of Democracies. From 2005-2009, he served as national security advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney. During President George W. Bush’s first term, Mr. Hannah was the Vice President’s deputy national security advisor with primary responsibility for the Middle East.
Previously, Mr. Hannah worked as a senior advisor to Secretary of State Warren Christopher in the Clinton administration, and as a senior member of Secretary of State James Baker’s Policy Planning staff during the presidency of George H.W. Bush.
Mr. Hannah received his BA from Duke University and JD from The Yale Law School.
